Performing at this year's festival...
County Line Trio

They are back again for their third year at the Bear Valley Music Festival! The COUNTY LINE TRIO, performing their salute to the famous “Kingston Trio” with a rousing show that incorporates the original arrangements of their many hit songs. Remember Tom Dooley, Charlie on the MTA, Scotch and Soda, Worried Man, and Where Have All The Flowers Gone? These and many other great folk music classics are blended with a delightful helping of tongue-in-cheek humor that would make even the Smother Brothers envious.
For the past 33 years, the COUNTY LINE TRIO has performed in numerous venues, from the nightclub stage, street festival, corporate function and private party to the concert stage. They have always been welcomed by enthusiasticaudiences, eager to take that nostalgic trip back to the days when everyone sang along to the familiar refrains of the great folk hits. There is still a wealth of these enthusiasts longing for that “original sound” which consisted of simple arrangements of three part harmony accompanied by acoustic guitars and a banjo, and performed with inspiring gusto. This simple formula blended with a generous serving of humor and irreverence makes a COUNTY LINE TRIO performance a truly entertaining journey down memory lane. Their biggest fan support comes from “Kingston Trio” enthusiasts who applaud their faithfulness to the original Kingston Trio arrangements.
The COUNTY LINE TRIO has opened shows for comedian Pat Paulsen, troubadour Glen Yarbrough, country western star Teri Gibbs, and singer songwriter, and former member of the Kingston Trio, John Stewart. They produced their first album entitled “Going Home” which was recorded “live” and is available on CD and cassette.
The COUNTY LINE TRIO is comprised of Tod Brendlen, Bud Olsen and Dean Hammer who for the past 33 years have developed a very polished and thoroughly entertaining act. Their presentations of songs from the Kingston Trio repertoire inspire audiences to raise their voices in song and clap along to those old familiar classics. It’s a show you don’t want to miss if it comes your way. You are guaranteed to walk away with a warm fuzzy feeling.
